Disease Testing....
We tested our entire herd in December 2014 and received negative results for CAE, CL, and Johnne's; those too young to be tested at that time have been tested since with negative results.
Disease Testing Information:
After discussing the importance of disease testing with our local veterinarians and further discussions with respected professor and extension associate veterinarians at Cornell University's Department of Animal Science and Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences,
it was decided that we would test yearly for only CAE as that seems to be the
disease of most concern of the three diseases for which are routinely tested.
Since Pennsylvania is considered a TB and Brucellosis Free state, we do not test for those diseases.
Disease testing results are available upon request.
